Biography

Ros Morley MA. is a practising Fine Artist/Printmaker, producing her vibrant, colourful
prints with mixed-media. Her joyful, semi-abstract, landscape prints are mostly
linocut or collograph prints, plus some etchings, with aquatint and chine colle.

Her work focuses on colourful atmospheres, stemming from an emotional response to
capturing an essence of a place. Ros has used her travels to inspire her work,
including to India and Vietnam where the colour, vibrancy and visual stimuli
have been a huge source of inspiration. Hugely inspired by nature, Ros loves the joy of exploring contrasts of place, colour and different cultures, including dazzling landscapes or occasionally
urban scenes. Colour, light and beauty are a constant source of inspiration, along with
the work of artists such as Matisse, Bonnard and Chagall.

Ros has a BA. Hons in Fine Art - Painting - from the University of the Arts (UAL), Camberwell,
plus a one year post-graduate teaching qualification (PGCE).
She also has a Masters’ degree in Printmaking from Brighton University /The London Print Studio.

As a committee member of the Printmakers Council (2009 - 2019),  she was a selector of prints for PmC shows,  including the Highgate Gallery (2016) and the Royal Over-Seas House, London(2018).
Ros also was a co-selector for the PmC, MA degree Awards’ prize at UAL, Camberwell (2013 - 2017).

In January 2019, Ros was selected as a member of the Southbank Printmakers, showing her work in the lovely Gabriel's Wharf gallery on the South Bank, London.
